Off Page Optimization

Off-page optimization refers to the link building activities which we do outside of the web site and it is one of the integral part of SEO.

In simple terms off page optimization nothing but back links to your website.

Some of the main factors in Off page optimization are the links ("back links") to your page, page rank and the authority of your linking page.

Points to remember in off page optimization:
  • Always start with keyword research and selecting relevant keywords for your website.
  • Give primary keywords in anchor links.
  • Links from high ranking pages.
  • The web sites linking to your site should be relevant to the content on your site.
  • The number of relevant sites that link to you is a significant plus point for your site.
  • A high page rank relevant site linking to your site is much better than a low page rank site.
  • Use one-way inbound link. Should not use reciprocal links. A reciprocal link means you have linked back to the web site that linked to you.
  • Gradual link building technology.
  • Relevant keywords near your inbound link.
  • Deep linking(from multiple pages to multiple pages).
  • Target a large list of keywords.
One of the most important aspect to remember is that all of your link building effort should be organic (natural) and you should not get a lot of links in less time.

  3. One thing that you need to remember when doing off page link building is to be active in the site that you visit. Join forums, discussions and other events in the site to show your presence. Site moderators are likely to remove your links if they notice that you are there simply for traffic.
